With the development of the times, traditional building decoration no longer meets the needs of people. In architectural engineering, the installation of HVAC has become an important measure to keep buildings warm and ventilated. To ensure the correct installation of HVAC, construction enterprises should pay attention to the training of construction personnel's technical level and improve the safety awareness of relevant personnel, so that the installation of HVAC can be carried out in strict accordance with the relevant procedures. At present, some domestic construction units do not have a firm grasp of the installation technology of HVAC, and it is easy to leave safety hazards during construction, which not only affects the normal operation of HVAC but also affects the quality of life of residents.

1.Analysis of the current situation and problems of HVAC installation and construction

Generally speaking, the installation and construction of HVAC have achieved certain development in China, but most of them are not refined. Construction units need to continuously improve their technical capabilities and actively introduce advanced technologies and professionals. At present, the common problems of HVAC installation and construction are as follows.

  1. Unreasonable pipeline design

The construction design has a direct impact on the construction of the project, which is the basic guidance and the most basic work of the whole project. In the installation and construction of HVAC, due to the lack of reservation of equipment location or other reasons in the design of some necessary pipeline lines, the pipeline lines and the equipment are unreasonably crossed. The main reason is the limited technical level of the designer and the lack of control over the positioning of the pipeline and equipment. At present, the CAD drawing is the main method of HVAC design. Before drawing, the designer should accurately draw up the preliminary design according to the pipeline and equipment conditions, and then continuously modify and verify it. However, most of the time, due to poor professionalism and lack of sense of responsibility, designers directly use the preliminary design for construction without carrying out necessary pipeline design verification. As a result, a large number of unreasonable intersections occurred and the construction was difficult to proceed normally.

2.Poor noise reduction effect of HVAC equipment

After the installation of HVAC, improper handling of related problems leads to excessive noise and other phenomena, which are common problems in the installation and construction of HVAC in China. This also leads to excessive noise pollution when the equipment is running. When the equipment is turned off, indoor living is not comfortable, leading to a decline in the quality of life of residents. For these problems, we should start with the technical level of the construction personnel, and conduct strict inspections for each installation link. At present, China's science and technology are developing rapidly, and fan design technology is relatively mature, but it is difficult to eliminate noise pollution. Therefore, the noise during the operation of the air conditioning unit exceeds the standard. To overcome it, the relevant unit should take thorough consideration when installing the HVAC. If a building is installed with HVAC and a large number of air-conditioning units, the designer must fully consider the heat dissipation and heat insulation of the units. And pay attention to the quality inspection of the air-conditioning equipment, and strictly prohibit unqualified products from entering the construction site. Only in this way can the noise be effectively eliminated.

3.Common faults of the water circulation system of air conditioning

In HVAC, multiple systems cooperate, of which the water circulation system is an important part. Once the water circulation system fails, the using effects of the whole HVAC system will be reduced. The blockage of chilled water circulation system management is the most common problem in HVAC water systems. The reason is the serious intersection of pipeline lines and equipment in the system. Due to the crossover, the pipe network is compressed, and the residual air in the pipe network forms airbags, which seriously affects the water circulation, and also makes it difficult to implement pipe cleaning, and the HVAC cannot work normally.

4.There is a problem of condensation and dripping on the outside of the air conditioner

During the operation of HVAC, due to a series of conversion effects, the air conditioner has the problem of condensation and dripping. The main reason for this phenomenon is the unreasonable operation of the construction personnel during installation and the poor insulation effect of the chassis. Besides, during the installation of HVAC, failure to properly handle the gaps in the equipment will result in poor equipment integrity, and will also cause condensation and dripping. However, if the construction personnel lack a sense of responsibility, and not only do not devote themselves to installation but also have low safety awareness. And the HVAC construction process and technical specifications are not operated according to the HVAC construction process and technical specifications, it will also cause serious condensation and dripping phenomenon after the HVAC is put into operation. When purchasing HVAC, due to the improper selection of related materials, such as unqualified pipe quality will also occur in the operation of HVAC. This requires construction enterprises to strengthen construction management and ensure construction quality.

  2. Analysis of measures to deal with common problems in HVAC installation and construction

1.Strengthen the design of various piping lines before installation

In the HVAC system, there are many pipelines, which can usually be divided into water supply pipelines, drainage pipelines, reclaimed water pipelines, heating pipelines, air pipelines, and power supply and distribution lines, and cables, etc.according to their different uses and performance. Each kind of pipeline has its unique mission, so they should be staggered as much as possible when designing to reduce mutual interference. Generally, the height of the suspended ceiling can be determined in combination with the height and size of the air duct. According to the requirements, the length of the air duct should not be too long. Otherwise, it will increase the difficulty of construction and affect the overall pipeline layout. A scientific pipeline layout can effectively increase the available space of the building. The design of the pipeline should be coordinated with the design, construction, and installation of HVAC to ensure smooth construction.

2.Effective measures to eliminate noise from HVAC systems

The above analysis of the possible causes of noise pollution in HVAC equipment suggests that improvements should be made from the installation of HVAC equipment, the design and installation of water pipes, and the ventilation systems. It is required to carefully analyze all construction processes, give priority to the selection of construction techniques with shock absorption performance and low noise, and carry out construction in strict accordance with relevant specifications. If conditions permit, it should be combined with its situation to carry out noise reduction, to reduce the noise pollution of HVAC and improve people's quality of life.

3.Improve the fault of air conditioning water circulation system

The water circulation system is of great significance in the HVAC system. To improve the failure of the water circulation system, we need to strengthen management from three aspects, they are before, during, and after construction. First of all, it is necessary to strengthen the management abilities before the installation of HVAC, and strictly formulate the elevation and slope of the pipeline according to the design requirements to reduce the occurrence of airbags. If the airbags reappear, you should consider installing an exhaust valve according to the needs, and the outlet should be set at the position conducive to the exhaust of the HVAC system. Secondly, when welding steel pipes, relevant personnel should deal with the rust, welding slag, and dirt on the pipes in time according to the norms and standards, and then use designated items to block the pipe mouth. If problems such as cashback occur during the construction, measures should be taken to temporarily block the unclosed nozzles in time to prevent pollutants from entering the pipeline. A drain valve of a certain specification should be installed at the bottom of the water circulation pipeline to ensure the drain capacity. Finally, after the HVAC installation is completed, regular inspections should be carried out, and routine maintenance should also be emphasized. Once faults are found, they should be dealt with in time.

4.Analysis of measures to solve condensation and dripping water

Condensation and dripping are very common in the use of air conditioners. Common measures are to strengthen the management of insulation materials, strictly ensure the quality of HVAC construction materials, and strictly abandon unqualified piping materials. Besides, it is necessary to strengthen the technical disclosure work of departments and the inspection during the construction. Technical violations are strictly prohibited, for example, common violations include large and small insulation pipes. In actual construction, the temperature management of detailed parts such as elbows, valves, flanges, and equipment interfaces should be reasonably controlled to ensure that the outer wall of the pipeline and the insulation layer can be closely combined. Also, the refrigeration pipe should be installed with an insulation sleeve to ensure the continuity and tightness of the insulation layer between the wall and the connecting pipe.

  3.Concluding

In summary, HVAC is an important facility in housing construction projects, and this system can effectively improve indoor living comfort. However, during the installation of HVAC, if the construction personnel cause problems such as improper operation due to technical reasons or other factors, it will seriously affect the effectiveness of HVAC. To prevent this kind of situation, project management personnel should strengthen construction management. Combining the above-mentioned viewpoints, it should be controlled from multiple aspects to ensure the normal operation of HVAC and then provide protection for people's comfortable life.
